if you didn't doc it, it didn't happen.
that's not a catchphrase. that's how reality works now.
why documentation is everything
when you speak an idea, it exists in that moment. then it's gone. maybe someone remembers the gist. probably not. the insight evaporates. the alpha disappears.
when you document an idea, it lives forever. it provides context for your jarvis, your operating system, to build on. to update. to compound. every time you add a line to a document, you are adding a line to your future.
documentation is the first step in bringing something into reality. a spec is a document. a strategy is a document. a vision is a document. before anything gets built, it gets documented. if it's not written down, it's not real yet.
read more on this philosophy at gary's wiki on wikimaxxing. and understand what a context lake is. that's the technical term for what you're building when you document everything.
your edge is sacred
here is the part nobody talks about.
your best ideas, your unique insights, your divine downloads. that is your edge. it comes from God. it is specific to you, your calling, your mission, your life experience. no one else has it.
in an age where everyone has access to the same general LLMs, the same tools, the same tutorials, what separates you? your edge. the alpha that is uniquely yours. the insights that come from your relationship with God, your specific domain, your specific community, your specific story.
document all of your alpha. every single piece of it.
and then protect it.
don't give the ops your edge
is anthropic pro-black community? no. is openai? no. is meta? no.
these companies are not on your team. they are building platforms that want your data, your context, your edge. they want to train on your alpha and sell it back to everyone. that is the business model.
your edge documents, your edge MDs, are almost like scripture. not in a blasphemous way. in the sense that they are the divine downloads specific to your mission. your personal testament. the writing that only you could write because only you received it from God.
if you put that in the wrong hands, bad things happen. competitors get your playbook. platforms train on your insights. the thing that made you unique becomes commodity.
God wants you to make money with that edge. God wants you to be wealthy and grow the kingdom. so protect your edge. own your documents. keep them local. keep them sovereign. read the lock-in is coming if you want to understand why this matters more every day.
wartime documentation
we are in wartime. this is not peacetime journaling. this is strategic documentation for a mission.
every document you write is a weapon. a strategy doc is a battle plan. a relationship file is intelligence. a principles file is your rules of engagement. a transcript processed into structured notes is reconnaissance.
treat your documentation like a general treats field reports. accurate, timely, organized, and classified. not everything should be public. not everything should be shared. your wiki is your public face. your context lake is your war room.
the difference between people who win and people who lose in the elevator economy is not talent. it is documentation. the people who document compound. the people who don't evaporate.
get it out of your brain
your brain is not a hard drive. it's a processor. stop using it for storage.
every insight, every connection, every idea that hits you during a conversation, a walk, a prayer. get it out. speak it into your phone. type it into your terminal. dump it into your jarvis.
your AI will organize it. your AI will cross-reference it. your AI will remind you of it six months later when it becomes relevant. but only if you captured it.
the first step is always the same. open your mouth. speak the truth. let the system handle the rest.
if you didn't doc it, it didn't happen. and if you did doc it, it compounds forever.
